How to stop the King's gang in Freeside attacking me? Fallout: New Vegas?

My reputation with them is "Dark Hero" and i can't seem the enter The School of Impersonation without all of the gang piling me including The King which is who i want to talk too, is there anyway i could make them stop? I've tried talking to James Garret and boosting my reputation with Freeside but they still seem to attack me on sight, please help!
